The idea for My City Quest was born out of frustration.  Phone books are big and bulky and they waste massive amounts of paper.  They are not the easiest place to find an item in either.  You have to know what area they chose to list an item under which may be completely different from where you thought it would be listed.  Looking for a specific item?  Forget it.  The cost is too prohibitive for most businesses to be able to list very much especially if they sell multiple items or services.

At My City Quest we felt we could use the advantages of the Internet and at the same time limit its shortcomings.  The Internet is affordable, allows you to display a greater amount of information and is the place where a growing number of people go for their wants and needs.  The problem with the Internet is it has so much information that businesses get lost in the crowd.  Business websites frequently do not have the correct keywords to come up in a search for local businesses.

We, at My City Quest, were confident that we could find a way to help both the business and the customer.  As we formulated a working model we began to see what a major benefit this site could be to the business sector, particularly small businesses.  We are well aware that for some businesses the cost of getting a website created is just about all they can allot towards advertising.  Quite frequently the returns are disappointing.  This is not surprising when the very majority of people who find the website are the ones that already knew the business’ name and very likely were already established customers.

My City Quest’s mission statement is:  Bringing businesses and customers together.  On the business side we aim to do that in an extremely affordable and effective manner.  On the customer side we offer the ability to pick your target city and search capabilities within that locale.  The customer’s ability to look only where they want to, for what they want, is our driving idea behind success for both the customer and the business.
