After every game we ask the team for a rating – with stars and, if they like, a few sentences. This page shows what comes back: feedback from groups who have played one of our tours, from treasure hunts and murder mystery walks to an escape room in the open air. How does it go when nobody is leading the group? How well does it work with children, at a birthday or on a stag do? That is exactly what teams write about here – more honestly than any product description could.
Our tours run without a guide. That has a big advantage: you start whenever you like, in numerous cities, and new locations and tours are added all the time. It also has a drawback – we rarely get to meet you in person. That makes what you write after the game all the more valuable. What did you enjoy most? Who were you out with? Where did it nearly go wrong? Every one of those replies helps other groups choose – and helps us build the next tour.
Written reviews are the most important source we have for developing tours. Over the years plenty of suggestions from ratings have found their way into later tours. If a riddle is too tricky, a route turns out too long, or a stop looks different on the ground than it did on the plan, we usually learn it from a review – written by a team that has just walked the route. Nothing else replaces that, and we are grateful for every single one.
Full transparency matters to us. So we ask every team right after the game: five stars is our top mark, one star the lowest, and a written report is optional. Every one of these ratings therefore comes from a group that actually played. Separately from that, guests write publicly on Google – that profile is linked here. We label both sources separately so you can see where each number comes from.
By the way: the stars from customer ratings have nothing to do with our internal scales. Difficulty, city focus, level of action and suitability for children are our own assessment – a guide for choosing, not a verdict on the tour.
myCityQuest has been around since 2010. The brand is run by CityHunters GmbH & Co. KG, based in Nuremberg, Germany; the address, management and company register entry are in the imprint.
