The theatre boasts a 5,000-square-foot stage, an orchestra pit that can accommodate up to 90 musicians, and a 74-foot tall fly tower, making it a versatile space for a variety of performances.

A unique feature of the Muriel Kauffman Theatre is the Figaro Simultext Seatback System, which displays subtitles in multiple languages on the backs of seats, enhancing the opera-going experience for audiences. This theatre is the performance home of the Kansas City Ballet and the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, as well as a venue for numerous other theatrical, musical, and dance productions.

Helzberg Hall

Helzberg Hall, the 1,600-seat concert hall, is an acoustical gem designed to provide an unparalleled listening experience. Its oval shape and vineyard-style seating ensure that every seat is within 100 feet of the stage, fostering a sense of intimacy and engagement between the audience and performers. The largest pipe is an impressive 32 feet tall and weighs around 960 pounds. The organ was dedicated in March 2012 with a special concert by renowned organist James David Christie.
